DANIEL ARRIGONI ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Long time employee announces retirement after 13 years of service to FGO
Fresno, California – May 17, 2016
It is with great appreciation and sorrow that Fresno Grand Opera
announces the impending retirement of longtime Box Office Manager and Chorus Administrator Daniel Arrigoni. After serving Fresno Grand Opera in a variety of capacities for over thirteen years, Daniel has decided to bring the curtain down on his superb career with the Company on June 30, 2016.
In announcing his retirement, Daniel Arrigoni said: “It has been a wonderful, joyful, and memorable experience for me during these past 13 years, and at 68 years old, I want to slow-down the daily pace of my life. Every new capacity that I was asked to serve for, was learning, stretching, and challenging for me. I appreciate all the opportunities that Fresno Grand Opera has afforded me, and I will be forever grateful for the trust and confidence that was placed in me.”
General Director Matthew Buckman said: “I have only had the pleasure of knowing and working with Daniel for the past year and a half, and I will cherish that time together for a long time to come. Daniel’s commitment to the arts is inspiring, and his contribution to Fresno Grand Opera has been significant. His dedication to FGO is felt by every patron he has served over his many years, and is seen on stage every time the FGO Chorus performs. I applaud Daniel for his time with the Company, congratulate him on his retirement, and I will miss him very much.”
While he has served in numerous capacities with FGO, including Box Office Staff, Production Assistant, Team 200 Charter Impresario, and Assistant Stage Manager, Daniel Arrigoni’s largest impact on the company was in the roles of Box Office Manager and Chorus Administrator. His commitment to providing a high level of personal customer service was felt by the many patrons he served with immense individual attention. He was also largely responsible for the development of the FGO Chorus, which has grown exponentially in artistic excellence under his administration. FGO now enjoys a magnificent group of singers who contribute greatly to the Company’s artistic profile, almost singularly as a result of Daniel’s leadership, organization and cultivation.
A retirement party is currently being planned for Thursday, June 30, 2016. More information will be released at a later date.
